Watoga 2-4 Person Barrel Sauna

The cheapest 4-seat model of the 27 we track, at $4,665, and tenth-cheapest per seat among the 37 barrels.

Watoga lists at $4,665 from Finnish Sauna Builders. The next-cheapest four-seater is the SaunaLife G2 cabin at $4,990, $325 more, and the median four-seat barrel is $5,984. That makes Watoga $1,166 per seat, 12 percent under the barrel median.

The trade-off is the shell. At 59 by 78 inches it is shorter than the 71-inch Pinnacle and Audra, and it has no porch, which helps explain the price. The 6 kW heater matches most four-seat barrels, though the Essex gets 8 kW. Almost Heaven states a Limited Lifetime warranty for manufacturing defects; the Harvia heater has its own, 1 year on the elements and 5 on other parts.

Pick it for the lowest buy-in to a cedar barrel that seats four. If you expect four adults often, look at the 71-inch models for more room.
