Tranquility 5 Person Barrel Sauna (CTC2345W)

A 5-seat white cedar barrel with a porch at $6,483, $1,297 a seat and 2 percent under the barrel median, with a 5-year warranty.

Tranquility is one of only four 5-seat models in our data, and the least expensive per seat of Dundalk's barrels. It is 118 inches long, 86.25 wide and tall, 71 square feet, and 1,300 pounds. Topture lists it at $6,483 and Finnish Sauna Builders at $6,514.

For the money, the Almost Heaven Seneca seats six at $6,191 with an 8 kW heater and a Limited Lifetime warranty, though it has no porch. Tranquility has the porch and the 5-year coverage but no heater type or power in our data. The next model up, the Tranquility MP, adds a seat for $1,706 more. For a household of five that wants white cedar and a covered entry this is the sensible Dundalk barrel.
