The Summit

A 2-seat red cedar cabin at $6,945 with an 8 kW heater, 4 kW per seat, and a 3-year warranty; 86 percent above the cabin median per seat.

Summit costs $3,472 per seat, eighteenth of 22 cabins. Only four cabins cost more: the Peak El Capitan and Patagonia and the two Auroom cabins. The cabin median is $1,868. The 8 kW heater is 4 kW per seat, the highest ratio in our data, tied with the Sweat Box, so it should heat a 59 by 64 inch, 89.5 inch tall cabin very fast.

The SunRay Bristow is a 2-seat hemlock cabin with a 4.5 kW heater and a 10-year warranty for $4,990, $1,955 less, though it is the smaller of the two at 17 square feet against 26. The Summit gives 3 years of coverage. The weight is not listed. It makes sense if you want red cedar in a small cabin and cost per seat matters little. Sweat Kingdom is the only store we list.
