El Capitan Outdoor Infrared Sauna

A 4-seat infrared hemlock cabin at $16,100, $4,025 a seat and the second-dearest 4-seat sauna we list, with a lifetime warranty.

El Capitan measures 55 by 81 inches and 83 tall, about 31 square feet, or 7.7 per seat, and weighs 695 pounds as a DIY kit. That footprint is close to the SunRay Cayman's 34 square feet, but the price is not: $16,100 against $5,690, a difference of $10,410.

Per seat it is 116 percent above the cabin median of $1,868 and eighth-dearest of 85 models. Only the Sun Home Solaris 4 costs more among four-seaters. The SaunaLife G2 cabin seats four for $4,990 with a 5-year warranty. El Capitan offers a lifetime warranty and an infrared heater, and our data has no wattage for it, so check the output before comparing it with the Cayman's 8 kW. It suits a buyer who wants infrared for four and accepts about 2.7 times the median four-seat price of $5,990. Peak Saunas is the only store.
